[FortHuntPatch] Court Supports Fort Hunt Residents’ Right To Oppose Cell Phone Tower

Local residents have the right to oppose land permit applications for the construction of cell phone towers, said the Eastern District Court of Virginia in Alexandria last month.

On November 10^th the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia in Alexandria upheld a decision by the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors to prevent construction of a cell phone tower at the Masonic Lodge on Fort Hunt Road. Cingular appealed the decision to the U. S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit in Richmond last week.
